The Hautes Fagnes nature reserve is Belgium’s biggest, with more than 5,000 hectares located to the north of the town of Malmedy. It provides an outstanding backdrop for visitors and walkers, in a preserved natural setting boasting breath-taking views, regardless of the season: under the summer sun, in the autumn mist, covered in the winter snow, etc.
The town of Malmedy is located at the confluence of the Warche and Warchenne rivers, in the midst of an extremely green valley surrounded by many villages. It is the starting point of many walks and hikes through the neighbouring countryside.

MY HOTEL Malmedy is located less than 10 kilometres from the Spa-Francorchamps race circuit. The Belgian circuit and its 7 kilometres and more of track is appreciated by drivers from all over the world and belongs to the ranks of legendary motorsport venues thanks to its undulating profile and quick corners.
Throughout the year, Spa-Francorchampsplays host to many races: the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix, but also the Spa 6-hour race, the Spa Summer Classic, the FunCup or also the much awaited Spa 24 hour race. Motorcycle events will also soon be reserved top billing, such as the MotoGP Grand Prix.
Combining nature and culture, Malmedy is also well known for its cathedral and religious treasures, many exhibitions and museums. The centre of this charming small town is a veritable invitation for a stroll, with its shops, archetypal cafés and many terraces, where the sun can be enjoyed from the very first rays of the year.
With its incomparable local folklore and friendly, festive spirit, the calendar is always busy in Malmedy where many events are proposed throughout the year.
To name but a few, the must-sees are the famous “Cwarmê” carnival, the Saint-Jean festival in the summer, the Giant Omelette on 15th August, the fires of Saint-Martin in the autumn, as well as many other events.
Malmedy and its region boast a wide array of extremely varied activities for visitors to enjoy, whether as a couple, with your family or among friends.
For the youngest visitors, the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, a crazy golf course, an open air swimming pool and wildlife park will not fail to delight.
